Manufacturing American-made products is at the core of who we are as a company. There are tons of economic and social benefits to making – and buying – USA-made products. Here are our top 5:

1. Buying USA-made creates jobs.

   In fact, according to ABC World News, if every American spent an extra $3.33 on U.S.A-made products per year, it would generate nearly 10,000 new jobs in the nation. What’s more, the Made in America Movement says that the average American will spend around $700 on gifts this year. If just half of these purchases were made in USA, up to a million American jobs would be created.

2. Buying USA-made reduces our carbon footprint.

   Many products made in China actually start their life in the USA as raw material shipped to China to be manufactured. Then, they’re shipped back to the USA as finished goods for distribution. This creates unnecessary petroleum usage and emissions. Plus, manufacturing facilities overseas aren’t held to the same regulations as American manufacturing facilities. Many companies overseas use dangerous, heavily polluting processes, and this pollution has been proven to travel to the U.S. In fact, according to the New York Times, strong global winds called westerlies can transport pollutants across the Pacific within days, leading to “dangerous spikes in contaminants.”

3. Buying USA-made supports safe – and fair – working conditions.

   Many importing countries have little or no regulations for labor regulations, resulting in unsafe and inhumane working conditions (long hours, child labor, no or very low minimum wage, etc.). Buying American-made products supports American workers, safe working conditions and child labor laws.

4. Buying USA-made supports the U.S. economy.

   When you buy American-made products, the money stays in the U.S. economy. Purchasing American-made keeps your dollars here working for you. Plus, American workers pay taxes on the wages they earn.

5. Buying USA-made ensures safe, quality products.

   The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ensures manufactures produce quality products that are safe for consumers. Buying goods made in the U.S. means you can rest easy knowing your products comply with American consumer protection laws and safety standards.
