skateparks to adirondack chairs
Loll’s history dates back to 1997 with the creation of TrueRide, a design and build contractor specializing in custom municipal skate parks. The TrueRide crew designed, built, installed and serviced more than 400 custom skateboard parks across the nation and abroad during a 10 year period. In 2007, we sold TrueRide to a longtime friend and competitor in the skate park business so we could focus on lollygagging.
it's good to be recycled
Originally, we used recycled postindustrial plastic (scrap that has been diverted or recovered during the manufacturing process), but by 2007, we began sourcing post-consumer plastic (material that has been used by consumers and diverted or recovered from waste destined for a landfill). While sourcing material with recycled content was important, we knew there was more to being green. This is when Loll, as both a product and a company, really started to take shape as a sustainability focused company. We created recycling programs for anything that can be recycled, including recycling more than 88% of our manufacturing waste. We even diverted heat produced as a byproduct of the production process to heat our facility in the winter months. Plus, our #2 HDPE material is one of the most recyclable plastics on earth and can change again into another useful product when that day comes. Loll is part of the circular economy.
