Our high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic which is comprised of partially recycled material has always been sourced in the US. We also proudly source our foam, Sunbrella fabric, and covers within the U.S. While not relying on shipments from overseas gave us resiliency throughout most of the pandemic and supported U.S. manufacturing and employees, demand for outdoor furniture products has increased exponentially creating shortages in raw materials including HDPE. For cushions, this demand pinch was further aggravated by the ice storms and cold temperatures that swept the southern United States in February. This area is responsible for producing a significant amount of the foam in the U.S. and they are still recovering from major infrastructure damage.
The lead times shown on our products pages reflect the best information currently available for new orders, however these are subject to change based on the dynamic supply chain factors referenced above. Additionally, as we wait for the foam industry to return to full capacity, you’ll see extended lead times for our accessory cushions and soft seating collections which include the Nisswa, Platform One and Sunnyside.
You’ll see on your order confirmation an estimated ship date. Given the current strains on resources we appreciate your understanding that this date will be fluid. We are working closely with our suppliers and will send an email to you if we anticipate this delay becoming any longer than a week. As always, we will produce orders in the order they were placed, prioritizing the oldest orders.
