Ever sit down to relax on a deck and instead of looking at a beautiful view, you end up staring at a railing with an obstructed view of a sunset? From rooftop decks to balconies and verandas, we’ve all been there. That’s why we decided to design a new chair with an elevated seat height to provide an unobstructed view starting the design for the Lollygagger Hi-Rise Lounge Chair.

From the Initial Vision to its Final Form

Our namesake Lollygagger Collection is made for the ultimate lounge experience. Designed to be a relaxed lounger and a take on the modern Adirondack, the Lollygagger Lounge Chair, is a fan favorite and the design that we used as a model when beginning to sketch out designs for what would come to be the Lollygagger Hi-Rise.

While the Lollygagger Hi-Rise shares the same ease and comfort of the Lollygagger Lounge Chair, it did require some modifications. The design went from a standard outdoor lounge chair to an elevated seat height between a bar and counter stool with a deeper, lounge sit and an upright seated position with a stainless-steel foot rail to rest your feet on while relaxing in the chair but still has the same styling as a Lollygagger Lounge. These design changes allowed this new lounge chair design to fit seamlessly as a part of the Lollygagger Collection while bringing a new style of lounge chair to enjoy the outdoors from a whole new view, railing free and sunset full.

Unlike our other Lollygagger Collection seating pieces, we knew the Lollygagger Hi-Rise was meant to be enjoyed together differently. We wanted to incorporate a shared table connecting the two seats together for both people sitting to have a spot for their outdoor essentials, so we designed the Lollygagger Hi-Rise to be available in multiple offerings. Choose a pair of chairs connected side by side with table in between, a pair of chairs angled towards each other, or a solo chair providing an option for all needs and wants. In keeping with the true style of the Lollygagger Collection it still has a bottle opener, and we even incorporated handy hooks to hold your bag while you relax.

From an idea in a sketch book to the final form, the Lollygagger Hi-Rise was born to create a new perspective to view the outdoors from. Lounge with a friend while you take in unobstructed views over your balcony or deck railing, the Lollygagger Hi-Rise is designed with you and your friends in mind, Modern Lollygagger.
