When it comes to our pets we would do anything to take care of them and make them comfortable! Did you know that an elevated pet bowl could help contribute to that comfort? Below we will get into the perks of using a taller pet dish along with how to find the right size for your dog. Then you can dive into the even bigger questions that we don’t have the answers for like; Which of the bold and classic colors should I choose from? Should I get a double or single dish?
Why Choose an Elevated Dog Bowl?
Elevated food and water dishes can help prevent neck strain, allow for better posture, help with digestive/swallowing problems, and can also be beneficial for older dogs who struggle with joint pain or arthritis. Along with the health benefits of taking your pet bowls up a level (literally), our Loll Pet Bowls are designed to be ultra-durable. They are made from partially recycled non-porous HDPE that are easy to clean with removable stainless-steel dishes that can go straight into the dishwasher for a deep clean, everyone will love.

Which Loll Pet Bowl is the right size for your dog?
While some items are a one size fits all, that is not the case when it comes to choosing the right bowl height for your pup. After all you wouldn't feed a Shih Tzu from the same bowl you feed a Labrador from. This leads us to the classic question -- How do you choose the right height of elevated dog bowl for your dog?
Step One: Grab a measuring tape and your pup.
Step Two: Have your pup stand up tall with their feet right below their shoulders
Step Three: Use your measuring tape to measure the distance from the floor to the apexes of their shoulders (withers).
Step Four: Take this number and for medium/large breeds subtract 6 inches. For small breeds subtract 3 inches and that should be the approximate correct height for their elevated food or water bowl feeder.
Step Five: The final and most important step. Give your pup a treat for being such a good pooch!
If you're still not sure what size or style of dog bowl is right for your pup, you should talk to your veterinarian. We hope this helps you to find the ideal Pet Bowl for the best friend in your life!
