While Loll has several rocking chairs in our lineup to consider, the design of the Fredricksonn lends itself to a more upright and taller seat for ease of use. How did Loll create the Fredricksonn Rocking Chair?

When planning a new product, we try to understand what our Modern Lollygaggers are looking for that isn’t offered from Loll currently, which led us to the Fredricksonn. While wooden Carolina rockers existed, there was not a more robust option on the market. Made from our ultra-durable HDPE, the Fredricksonn allowed us to meet the need for a rocker that had the durability to perform in all weather and last for years to come!

Along with being crafted from sustainable materials, the design of the Fredricksonn offers an upright seat with an accessible in and out for ease of use. The requests we received for a more accessible rocker led the design process for creating the Fredricksonn, and it was an integral piece when we developed the final version of this modern rocking chair.

Why is this outdoor chair called the Fredricksonn?

Many of our products feature an “if you know, you know” moment or name (Hank the propane tank or the Norm Collection, to name a few). The Fredricksonn is one of those names. It is inspired by a fictional character from the movie Up, where we see two iconic chairs. We like to think that Carl and Ellie would have enjoyed rocking on their porch in the Fredricksonn Rocker.

What are the differences in Loll’s Rocking Chairs?

Loll has several rocking chairs, but the Fredricksonn features our tallest seat height and has the most upright sit in our entire rocker collection. It is designed to give that gentle rock you want while sitting on the porch. Each of our rockers offer something unique, though! 	The Lollygagger Rocker: A part of our namesake collection, the Lollygagger Rocker is everything you love in the Lollygagger Lounge Chair with a little more attitude. This rocking chair follows the design of its lounge counterpart as a low rider with a longer, slower rocking motion for total relaxation
	Rocking Adirondack Chair: The Rocking Adirondack Chair comes with a flat or curved top option and is one of the larger seats we offer, with a width of 22” and a seat depth of 19”. The seat is also crafted with multiple pieces to create a curved base. The Adirondack Rocker seat shape, combined with the tall arm height, creates an extremely comfortable sit for longer durations.
	The Rapson Rocking Chair: Created in collaboration between Loll Designs and Toby Rapson, son of midcentury architect Ralph Rapson, the Rapson Rocking Chair is a Midcentury Modern classic. This rocking chair is designed with slats to create a more organic shape and is the only Rocking Chair we offer that has arms that are not attached at the front of the chair.
	The Racer Rocking Chair:   Part of the Racer Collection, this rocking chair is another one of Loll’s lowrider styles that immerses you in the natural landscape you find yourself surrounded by. The Racer Rocking Chair is a wider rocker at 22.5” and has a deep 18.5” seat to match. This rocking chair has a more powerful short rock and is unique from our other rockers in that it has a built-in storage option on the back to hold a book, blanket or anything else you may need while you lounge.
	The No. 9 Rocking Lounge Chair: Designed by Studio Murmur, The No. 9 Rocking Lounge Chair has the largest rocker radius of our rocking chairs for the smoothest ride! Sink in and get comfortable with this rocker, relax your shoulders, and rest your arms on these shorter armrests for a true Zen experience.
	The Go Club Rocker: Crafted for ease of use, the Go Club Rocker has a seat height of 16” (just shy of the Fredricksonn seat height). This Rocker is a great option for those who want a small rocking motion in a taller seat with higher armrests.
	The Go Love Rocker: Rather rock with another? The Go Love Rocker is our only rocker designed for two! This loveseat rocker has the same taller seat and armrest height as the Go Club Rocker, but its seat is 41.25” wide, so you can enjoy a gentle rocking motion with another Modern Lollygagger.

What makes the Fredricksonn so comfortable?
