So you know that Loll chair you’re sitting in? Chances are, it was designed by Jeff Tally, our in-house design engineer.
Jeff has been with Loll for almost 15 years – since the very beginning, when we were TrueRide, a design and build skate park contractor. Jeff started building ramps and then became a road foreman, leading a team across the country building and installing skate parks. Eventually, he started designing skate ramps.

In 2003, Loll founder and CEO Greg Benson approached Jeff with a challenge: Build an Adirondack chair with the scrap material True Ride had lying around.
And the rest, as they say, is history. Jeff worked on designing Loll’s first Adirondack chair, and when TrueRide was sold, he stayed with Loll. Today, he is our design engineer and truly a jack of all trades – so much so that Greg calls him just that: “The Jack of all Trades.”
Q&A with Jeff Taly
What is a typical day like for you?
I get up and change a dirty diaper, make coffee, and help get the family ready for work and school. At work, I draw pictures of furniture, build prototypes, and work with the team to improve production and fix issues that may come up. Then, it’s back home for dinner with my family, change more diapers, and off to bed.
